Review: Briyani Dum @ Joo Chiat Road
A visit was made on Saturday 11 January 2022 at 8.30pm.
Formerly known as WALAKU the now new look (under the same management/owner) which comes with a fresh name and ambiance called Cilantro: The Briyani Club is in my view ranked in the Top 5 Briyanis in Singapore. The quality (especially the presentation and fragrance) and more distinctively, the generous portion (that 2 pax can enjoy) placed them as a premium briyani-to-go-to venue. Positioned as their signature dish, it is proved at $13 per plate and worth every dollar. The dhal, papadom etc makes great accompaniment to an addictive taste, Highly recommended.
And while you are it, I also recommend you to try the garlic naan with the shredded gravy. Very tasty and worth the $20+ for the experience!
Branding and Customer Experience
You will feel a warm welcome as the staff and crew are all polite. They'll ask how is your food and ever ready to assist you to pack whichever that you cant finish. Good branding (external and internal) but promo needs to be more intensive. Take note that payment is only via paynow or cash.
