Today I am 3 hours early for my JCU classes as I needed to do tons of marking.
So I took the time to visit Sims Drive foodcourt to have a quiet me alone breakfast. The last time I was here was in 1996. It’s so nostalgic as I walk around the area to see which shops are still around after all these years and which aren’t.
I grew up in Sims Drive Blk 57 from 1978, saw the deaths of my parents, got married and celebrated the birth of my first child. My block, along with several others including both my primary and secondary schools (Woodsville) have all been demolished.
It’s nice to walk along memory lane. Using my imagination, I can see myself as a young boy and teenager running around this place.
